With quarantine orders in place nosotros were looking for something to practice to break upwards the everyday monotony. The Montour Fossil Pit at the preserve won out. At that place were five to six other families but the place was so massive there was space for everyone to exist a adept distance away from each other to more and then attach to social distancing standards. Nosotros spent most two hours here just digging and enjoying the outdoors and discovering some ancient fossils. My kids enjoyed it fifty-fifty if we did go far unprepared. A geologist mining kit would have been great but we made do with breaking open rocks on rocks and digging with other rocks as shovels to make it work. Problem solving skills in action by the piffling ones. We walked away with some cool finds. Across the street is a lake with a Nicky cleared path walk. Posts with data about the planets in our solar system, fishing spots, and nature. A great educational trip without the kids thinking of information technology every bit such.
